Passed Teas 6 without AP and Chem

Published

I just want to say- It IS possible to get a good score on the Teas 6 without taking any AP, Chem, or Mirco courses. I passed the Teas 6 with a 80% without having any science courses completed (Besides general Bio, which I took over 10 yrs. ago). I started from scratch and used Kahn Academy, Teas Secrets Book, and Crash Course AP to learn everything on my own. The science portion of this test is almost all AP, but it isn't impossible to learn most of it on your own! I just wanted to give a little positive hope to those of you who haven't completed all of your science courses, but want to take it. If you put the hard work in, you can do it. ?

Specializes in MA/Cardiology.

Thanks for this. I took chemistry and microbiology years ago and they weren’t my strongest subjects. It’s good to know it’s mostly AP.

Any more tips on how to pass without taking any science courses?

I had maybe 2 Chem questions at most...

It was nearly all AP.

Kahn Academy, Teas Secrets Book, Crash Course AP on YouTube, and Pocketprep app (And a few other Teas 6 study apps) were the only sources I used to study. I studied daily for about 6 weeks. I would honestly focus mainly on AP. It will seem overwhelming at first, but just start with one body system at a time and learn as much as you can about it, and then go onto the next.

I hardly dug into Chem and didn't even bother to look at Micro.

If you score well on the Reading, Math, and English sections (And learn as much AP as u can)..I think you can score well overall on the test.

What is the minimum score that you need?

Thank you for all the tips! The minimum score is 65
