Passed Second Time!

I took the NCLEX for the first time June 26th. I used Kaplan but I know I didn't utilize it the proper way and didn't take the NCLEX as seriously as I should have. After 110 questions the computer turned off and I couldn't tell if I'd passed or failed, it was a strange feeling. Did the PVT trick and went straight to the CC page. My heart sunk and I cried for a week straight but I know I only had myself to blame.

I reregistered right away (I'm in PA so I knew I had a 45 day wait) called Kaplan to retake the class and reset my Q-Bank and other tests and made my life center around the NCLEX. I work full time at a hospital and still came home and studied at least 3 hours a day and do 100 questions daily.

Today I sat to retake my test and felt relatively good as I answered each question. Got around 25 SATA, 2 drag and drop and 1 med calc out of the 75. When the computer turned off I smiled, I had a sense but didn't want to jinx myself. Came home did the PVT trick and have gotten the good pop up each time. I've checked 10 already!

To all those taking it a second time just don't count yourself out yet. Regain that confidence and know that you can and will pass it!

Hey Congrats!! I will be taking the nclex Rn for the second time next week, I'm definitely more prepared than the first time. I pray I pass this time as well. Did you find the sata to be fair or impossible to get right?

I found them to be much easier than Kaplan's SATA. Good luck to you next week!

hey i was wondering did u pay kaplan again? and how did u do it? did u do everything on the course so they'd reset it?

I took Kaplan as well my first go around & did everything they said. I failed my first time so I decided to not take it again & got my money back. I'm in Minnesota..assuming that it's the same everywhere...I called them after I got my CPR in the mail (due to having to scan & send it in as proof that you did not pass) & they asked if I wanted another 3 month preparation or my money back which then I opted the money back. I figured I'd get Saunders and study content as I was lacking in that area. It was also nice to use the money that I got back to pay for my second try at the NCLEX-RN. I took the test today & did the Pearson trick & have been getting the good pop up so fingers crossed!

My school paid for Kaplan so my only option with them was to reset the questions and retake the class. I found it this time as I took it all much more seriously to be a huge help and would absolutely recommend Kaplan to any GN getting ready for the NCLEX.

hello everyone,, i took the NCLEX for the 4th time yestarday,, iam in NJ, the first 3 times, ,i did study hard, however,, i lacked the strategy and using the decision tree, and as well as knowing the contents,, i hired a tutor, studied my butt off everyday for 5 weeks.. anyways,, this time i got to do the whole 265 questions,,, this is thus far the most difficult experience ive ever had,, i felt numb, disoriented after i left,, i was sad and depressed and thinking negative.. oh my goodness,, but i kept praying,, when i got home, i tried the PVT, and got the message that says i cant register ,, i felt much better,, so please guys,, tell me,, does it still work,, and btw if anyone needs any sort of help or advice,, you may email me through here,, iam willing to help anyone go through it,,, thanks looking forward to hear from you guys

Wellll I PASSED! I did the pvt yesterday after taking my boards and this morning woke up, went on the Minnesota board of nursing and my examination results said Passed! Still waiting for it to go through to Pearson but it's a relief. I believe in the trick 100%. Like I said...I failed the first time did the trick and it took me to the cc pay page. This time I got the good pop up and next day posted I passed! :D
