Passed my quick score but cant find my license online

Published

Have any of you ever passed the quick score but failed in your official results? I am currently under alot of pressure to find a job based off my quick score. When I left the test I was convinced I failed but my quick score said otherwise. It has now been two weeks and I can find no record of my license in colorado's database. I called after my test and they told me it should only take 24-48 hrs to show up. I don't want to find a job only to find out I failed.

Let's back up for a minute. When you say "Quick Score", do you mean Pearson Vue's Quick Results that you paid $7.95 to receive about 48 hours after your exam ended? If yes.....that only means you passed your exam, NOT that the State to which you applied is guaranteed to issue you a license. NCLEX is only part of the licensing process; if there is a problem with your application (either something you know about, or something that you forgot to submit that's holding up the works) you won't get a license until it's resolved.

If by "Quick Score" you are talking about the PVT (the 'trick'), it IS only a game, a glitch, and not by any means accurate results regarding your exam.

Which do you mean when you say "Quick Score"?

I was speaking about the quick result that i paid for through pearson vue. I thought that if anything was wrong with my application it would've come up before taking the test?

Not necessarily. Some states issue ATT before background checks come back...that's why passing the NCLEX isn't a guarantee of licensure.

Some States take weeks to issue a license, as they haven't yet approved your application to receive one. I guess they go on the idea that since not everyone passes the exam, there's no point in doing the background review until there's a passing notice in front of them.

Thankfully for MOST test takers, their BoN will have done this prior to issuing the ATT.....but for some.....nope. Will need to wait it out, sorry.

Well ok, thats not so bad then. I have friends in other states who said their license showed up in a week or less. I was starting to think maybe my unofficial score was wrong and I had really failed! But if its background checks and other things like that, I can deal. To my knowledge, theres nothing that should interfere with this.

My state is 3-8 weeks post pass NCLEX for a license but at least they participate in quick results
