Hi!! I Will try & keep this short! I browsed this site a lot too find tips of what worked & didn't here is what I did!

How long I studied for? 1 month about 5 days/week. I first Reviewed Content by going over the Hurst Videos i.e. maternity then after watching the videos I did questions on that subject. I did about 20-40 questions in each sitting and took breaks after each set of questions. roughly studied 3-5hrs a day. Maybe like 100 a day overall. Once I grasped my contented I focused on my weak areas by looking up what i didn't understand. I also read the rationals to the questions I got wrong!

What were the main Materials did I use I benefited from most?

-Hurst Live Review

-Prioritization,delegation, and assignment by LA Charity Excellent!

-UWORLD (A MUST!!)

-35 page study guide (attached)

p.s.- I had saunders book (newer edition)- but it was too dry I didn't end up using it, didn't care for it.

What did I do the Day Before & Day of?

Day before, people say don't study but I had to I wouldn't be stressed not studying! So I did practice questions from uworld and La chairty & reviewed the study guide I attached from someone else who uploaded it on this site. Then one of the best things I did to relax was Get an hour massage the night before at 7pm!

Exam Day:

My exam was 2pm! if you can schedule for an afternoon rather than 8am do it! I believe it helped me feel relaxed and not as rush! I felt confident going into the exam felt I knew my stuff, by when I wrote it, it was SO HARD! Stuff I've never heard of esp. medications!

My exam Stopped at 85 questions and I finished in 60 minutes! I thought Oh no I failed, I can't imagine doing this exam again, cause really i don't see how I would of prepared any different!

Scores Averages:

La charity PDA- average 70% on first 18 chapters

UWORLD- averaged 65%. (got the odd 50% and the odd 80%)

If you are GREAT already in content then focus on the above two, I did probably 800 questions from uworld! UWORLD ROCKS!

PVT:

I did the PVT trick with a expired credit card after 6 hrs writing the test & got the good pop up! Next morning I received my official results I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!! It was soo fast!

Too top it all off I'm from Canada & this is the first year NCLEX has come to Canada & I was so nervous my school may not have prepped me enough!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

I have truly attached what I used and what worked! Passed in 85 Questions in 60 minutes! YOU CAN DO IT!

Congrats on a job well done.

Hi Aloha,

I was wondering how you got your official results? I just took the nclex today and I'm very nervous the 2 questions I had on meds I answered wrong (I googled them after). now Im having a horrible headache because I think I may have failed.

I got an Email from my board of nursing the next morning after writing the exam.
