Passed NCLEX second time! Ran out of time at 170+

Published

I just wanted to share my story because I feel an obligation since I constantly got feedback from other people's NCLEX experience on here!

So first time I took NCLEX I prepared with Kaplan. Failed at 156ish. I felt defeated as any of us do when we go through all the brutality nursing school brings and took the actual test and that happened. I work full time at a hospital as a CNA so every single shift for the following months someone asked me did you take your boards?! .

Anyways this time I decided to use Kaplan LIVE then UWORLD. UWORLD ALONE IS AMAZINGGGGGGG! The rationales were so thorough and detailed with charts and pictures of procedures and positioning etc. the content was incredible. I got a High probability of passing on my readiness test. I would recommend UWORLD TO EVERYONE!

Now, exam day I was shaking, heart palpitations everything (drank a load of caffeine!) . I had almost NO idea how to answer the questions. I couldn't exactly tell what they were asking me or diseases I've literally never heard of! I even paused when I got passed 100 and took a break and prayed in the bathroom like, "God I have nooooo idea what the answers are but I'm still in the game so pleaseeee help meeeeeeeee!!!" I went back in and ran out of time around 170ish questions. I left out crying my heart out, the last hour I had a horrible headache. Anyways cried my heart out, definitely felt like I had failed and screamed to my boyfriend that I have NOOO idea how to even prepare for it again!!!! I studied my butt off! I had a headache, Felt like I was going to faint, andddddd throw up! It was the WORST feeling....

This has been a long, rough journey to say the least, but to see RN by my name on the BRN has made it ALL worth it! BEST OF LUCK and many blessings to any and everyone on a similar journey. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!!!!!! If I could do it ANYONE CAN!

Congrats! I will be glad when I can say I passed. I will be taking the NCLEX in a few weeks. I'm studying with a 5 month old, pray for me. I'm doing Hurst and Saunders and I have the Lacharity book which I have not yet to open. Geesh I want this over with, outcome being successful of course. Congrats again.

Congratulations.

Thank you so much!!!! Ugh that must be tough studying with a newborn! I was already struggling with a full time job! I used Saunders throughout nursing school too and it's pretty great! Goood luck to you!!!!

Thank you so much!

I ran out of time at 201 questions, Failed Nclex in the passed..Dont know how i did but i truly feel i failed..so devastated. Blasian, RN. how did you get your results so fast?? I tested 12/28...i don't know what else to do..

I ran out of time on 12/28 and i did the PVT and i got the bad pop up :( I'm so devastated .. results are not in yet on the AZBON website..I did UWorld two times..im so sad and just so upset, I will never give up but idk how to approach my next study gram session to prepare because U WORLD said i was in the 97% to pass... not the case here.

My comment was for you

Dang I feel you I pray that 2018 will bring you so much joy and you will pass your test the next time around. 2017 has been trying for me too, just wanted to give up because I had a set back. I love my baby but goodness it was unexpected after 23 years yes I have a son that's 23 and no kids in between. I just keep saying God must know what he's doing. But anyways I'm praying when I take this test it will be a successful outcome. Stay strong!
