I passed my nclex exam on my 3rd attempt last sept. 3 2014. Failed it twice last 2007 and 2008 both with 265 questions. After failing it twice, I felt really depressed and decided to just focus on my work as an RN here in my country. 2010, i took the HAAD exam passed it, and continued my practice in UAE. But the challenge of passing the nclex exam still looms in my mind.
After 6 years I decided to face again the dreaded NCLEX exam. Studied for two months using Saunders, NCSBN learning, and La Charity's PDA. Also studied at my work place during break times using nclex apps on my phone. Filed for an annual leave for two wiks and returned to my country. Crammed for 2 weeks before the day of the exam to re-read all my materials nd my notes.
I Took the exam without any sleep, a severe a headache, but still with heightened senses due to my anxiety. Computer turned blue after 120 questions. Purchased the quick results last sept. 5 and there it was.. Status PASS!!!
My advice focus more on content, use the questions for practice. I failed my first two exams because I was more focused on answering practice questions. get a good rest before the day of the exam. I had no sleep when i took the exam as I was still cramming the night before. Had my exam reached 265 questions that day then I would have surely failed again. Finally praying really helps. Never lose hope.
