First of all, I want to thank all the members that have posted their experience on this site. I have been viewing this site on and off for the past 3 years. This is my first post and just like many members, I told myself that if I passed NCLEX, I will write about my experience to share with other members in hope that it may help someone.
I graduated Dec. 2015 and took a little break. I started studying after the new year and I basically read through some of my ATI books. I took kaplan end of January and used that mainly for studying. Here are my kaplan scores for those that are curious:
Q1, Q2, and Q3 = 50%,
Q4 = 58%
Q5 = 57%
Q6 = 57%
Q7 = 52% (this score made me very anxious and almost rescheduled)
Readiness = 64%
Average Qbank scores 58%
As you can see, my scores weren't that great and I was really nervous when I received a 52% on Q7. I was really close to rescheduling but I didn't because deep down inside I felt I was ready and didn't know if more studying will help. I started contacting kaplan and asked their experts if I should reschedule and what they told me was that my scores are not bad but it won't give me any room for mistakes. Didn't help much so I contacted some classmates that have passed to see what their scores were and found out that they had similiar scores so that helped relieve some anxiety. I took my test 4/1/15 (april fools!) and found out I passed 4/415. The wait for the results was the worst, couldn't sleep for 2 nights. it took me about 3 hrs from start to finish. Half of my questions were SATA and at one point I had like 6 in a row, 1 ekg, 2 med, and the rest was multiple choice. The road to being a nurse has been rough but well worth it. Again, I want to thank those members that posted about their experience because the week before the test, I was on this site constantly and it really helped with controlling my nerves. Good luck to the future test takers!
