I took the nclex 2 weeks ago, 85 questions, a lot of them SATA. I really thought I had failed it because I'm normally not good at this type of thing. I went home, got the good pop-up with PVT and paid for early results on Monday morning.
I honestly think the only reason I passed was because of the Kaplan qbank and Kim's self review. I purchased it a week before my exam b/c I was really feeling like Saunders was not doing it for me so all I did the week before was qbank and looked over Kim's Self Review. I am not kidding when I say that one of the questions on my exam was just a reworded one from one of my qbanks. As soon as I saw it I thought "holy crap, this is from kaplan!" Even the options were similar. I'm not saying that you will see questions from kaplan on the nclex, but I really feel like it is the closest thing to the actual exam.
Other questions about signs and symptoms I knew from looking over Kim's review. I think hers is really the best kind of cram review b/c even though it covers alot, it's not overwhelming in a way that makes you feel like you're never going to remember all of it. During my exam I kept thinking I remember seeing this on the review, so it did help me a lot
The most important thing is to find something that works for you. Like I said,Saunders was really not helping me b/c I felt like it was not preparing as far as strategies. Kaplan was expensive, at least for me and I got the cheapest one ($129), but it was sooooo worth it.

Could someone please copy and repost Kim's self review? I've tried searching for it and it does not show up?
