Passed NCLEX! My story.

Published

hello everyone,

i recently found out that i passed my nclex! i graduated early may and waited almost 3 months before finally taking my test! i would have taken it earlier but i had some circumstances that prohibited me from taking it...

1. i work as a nursing assistant and once i passed nclex i would have been immediately fired

2. i am pregnant and due in early october so i had to save money before finally taking my test

i finally took it and i am very happy with the results! 265 questions, 38 sata, 8 math, 1 prioritization drag and drop, 3-5 picture questions. i left the test feeling like a failure but did the pearson vue trick and paid for the early results and passed.

the books and resources that i used...

1. saunders rn book

2. hurst review *required by school but worth it*

3. kaplan qtest found on this website

4. allnurses study guide

my suggestion for those of you who havent taken their test yet is to take it and stay positive!! do a bunch of questions on prioritization and delegation, infection control because those were the main topics on my test!

goodluck to everyone!

:loveya:

congrats!

did you get a lot of pharm qs? did you know any of them?

I got a couple pharm questions that were pretty simple. What drug class is this drug in or Which statement regarding meds from the patient requires reteaching. Tylenol, Tums, 1 question on the alternative medicines like black cohosh or ginger root. But not enough pharm questions were I felt I was gonna fail because of the amount of the questions given.
