and u know how ec is...NO IDEA when nclex will be! i am hoping end of aug, but no clue...

are u still working in the same place? still enjoying it as an RN now??

hope things are well for u!

I haven't been around much, either :).

Check with your BON and see if you can go ahead and get the process started there- I was able to do that, and took the NCLEX about 2 weeks after my grad date, because all they had to wait for was paperwork from EC. Also, you can go ahead and register at Pearson Vue, and get that out of the way.

I am still at the same place, and still enjoying it- still learning. Getting my RN was the best thing I have ever done career-wise.

I am so very happy for you! Of course, we all knew you would pass the CPNE- and you'll do just fine on the boards. Congrats again!!!

thanks again lgflamini, i have sent off my app for license, and a letter req a letter of completion from ec. my only other prob is that i have to be licensed here in ga by endorsement after i get licensed elsewhere-so that will be fun to add to the timeframe for getting my rn in THIS state. but it is weird to think that it is here after all this time...

did u ever decide where to go after your bsn thru? i am looking around quite a bit right now... maybe fort hays, slippery rock, or uw...

Wellll... I have a baby due in Dec.(yay!), so I won't be working on my BSN until next year. The local University that my hospital is attached to now has an online RN-BSN, so I'll be doing that. That way I can do most of my clinicals where I work. I've heard good things about UW.

It is a weird feeling when you're done- it takes a while to get out of "constant studying mode," doesn't it?

that 'constant studying mode' has me feverish to find a bsn program to start asap! i figure after the nclex that i will tackle my CEN, i have wanted that for a very long time. i haven't looked around too much locally at what the nearby schools offer, maybe i should just to cover my bases!

but hey!! major congrats on that x-mas baby!! you HAVE been busy, huh? :p i thought u were kinda out of the baby mode from reading your posts...i had my last in sept of 2004, it is weird to think no more soft cuddly infant around...i figure he will turn into a demon just like his brothers and sister! and being 'the baby' he is, of course, already spoiled at 10 months-funny how that happens! keep me up to date on the baby! hope things are going well, and that they continue to do so! i was the queen of prob while prego...my last doc actually called me a walking time bomb! go buy some stuff with that rn pay girl!:rotfl:

So glad to here your news

So glad to here your news. I passed CPNE in 2000-seems like

an eternity ago. Anyway, it brings back old memories and some not

so fond-but at least I passed and it's over.

Good luck on NCLEX-compared to CPNE is should be a breeze!

Have a wonderful Christmas with your new bundle of joy. It is all

well worth it!!!!

Congrats! I am just getting started, so I was wondering how long did it take you to finish?
