Passed my biology clep today. Now only lack Micro on my prereqs & Info Literacy. My question is do you have to take info literacy before you enroll with Excelsior & also can you take any of the nursing courses before you enroll?

I believe you can take Health Safety, Health Differences (if required) and Transitions before you enroll. You can also take Info Lit before you enroll, but you might also consider the Penn Foster Info Lit -- it's much cheaper!
Congrats on passing the CLEP! I'll bet that wasn't easy.

Great job! That's a tough test! Congratulations on passing!
Yes, you can take a couple of the nursing exams before you enroll. Health Safety & Transition to the RN Role. I did those 2 in the last month. They aren't that bad.
I wish you well on your other tests!

From one of Excelsior's pages:
Associate Degree nursing Curriculum Change
Effective December 1, 2009, students do not need to be enrolled in the Excelsior College associate degree nursing program to take the following two exams:
488 Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Safety
495 Transition to the Registered Professional Nurse Role
Students must be enrolled to take:
489 Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Differences
490 Essentials of Nursing Care: Chronicity
491 Essentials of Nursing Care: Reproductive Health
492 Health Differences Across the Life Span 1
493 Health Differences Across the Life Span 2
494 Health Differences Across the Life Span 3
The Nursing catalog says you can waive the Health Differences exam if you are an LPN/LVN.
Thank you!
