Passed AGNP AANP - used Barkley's Review

I took Barkley's review and did exactly what he said. It worked!!! I took the review on Sat and Sun then took the test 4 days later. I got my preliminary score of pass at the end of the exam as my heart was beating out of my chest!!! Lol!

Do not waste your time doing millions of questions because they didn't help at all. Master the material in Barkley's review and you will see how prepared you are during the test!

Literally 85% of the test material was covered very well in the Barkley live review. About 10% of the questions were process of elimination. About 5% of the questions, which I suspect were mostly the test pilot questions where just foreign. Honestly, I was so prepared that it felt easy!!! I did not feel anxious during the test, but I did when my score was being calculated at the end.

You can do it!!! You got this!!!!!

What made me choose AANP over the ANCC? I did not want more questions overall. I get antsy! Lol. I did not want to add even more testable content areas to my test that I can just look up for practice. I surely love the concept of working smarter, not harder! Also, i wanted to pay the least amount of money for a test that would get me my qualifications.

Did you have Barkley 2014 or 2015 review? I have his 2014 CDs, but I was wondering if there are updates in 2015.

I did the live review. It is the 2015 version. He said there were some updates. I sware it was like he knew what was on the test!!!

Congrats for passing! You have given me hope. :)

I am taking my test next week and so far I have received horrible feedback from classmates! They say Barkley did not prepare them for this. :( I took the live review and have memorized the Barkley book just as he recommended. I have used 300 plus flashcards! I have also skimmed through Leik and from what my classmates have said Leik helped them most.

I am just very nervous just like everyone else I just do not know what to expect..

I will definitely follow least expensive/least invasive but did you find that you were receiving more questions regarding atypical symptoms for the gero population?
