PASS CCRN! question about questions

Published

well I have a question about the Postests on the CD from PASS CCRN..

You guys who used it to study for the CCRN, do you remember what scores you were getting before you took the real thing? Right now, I'm scoring in the 70-75% range and am trying to decide if that's high enough or if i should study a little more.

Also, did any of you do the practice test AACN offers for $50. If so, was it worth it?

laters,

I was getting just about the same scores you are getting on the pass ccrn cd, I was only doing 30-50 questions at a time because I couldnt make myself sit for a whole 100-200 questions at a time. When I actually took the test, I got ~88%. That could just be a fluke, but my guess is that the adrenalin pumping during the real test helped. Concentrate on those two big sections, cardiac and pulmonary.

Thanks Focker,

Exactly what I wanted to hear

I took AACN's pretest and for me it was worth the $50.00 because it was the same type of questions as the real exam. I think I recognized a couple of them on the real exam. Good luck.

word on the street has it that if you get around 65-70% on the practice tests (the longer the test the better the "prediction") then that should be more than sufficient to pass.. worked for me.. IMO, if you know the information, the test really isn't that bad.

I used Pass CCRN and AACN Core Cirriculum (which I found more difficult than Pass CCRN) I felt that actual test was harder than the Pass CCRN and easier than the AACN. Most people I know, including myself did not score wonderful on the practice tests.

I am taking the CCRN Exam tomorrow and I wanted to know if anyone had any last minute advice. I have been studying so much that I am dreaming about this stuff at night. I am still not doing great on the practice tests though. I guess we will see how it turns out tomorrow!:uhoh21:
