has anyone applied to pasadena's rn program for fall 2013? has anyone been accepted into east pasadena's rn program? if so what was your pre-reqs grades? mines aren't all that great that's why i am so worried i will not get in because my pre-reqs gpa is only 2.79...do i even have a chance at getting in? please advise...so stressed out :( im not a bad student... i just don't have the time to study like im supposed to...i am a working full time single mother with two children and couldn't dedicate my time to so much studying...i was lucky if i even got 10 hours of studying a week

It sounds right to me. I can't imagine they would want LA County for folks who have never lived here. But I can certainly understand your wanting to double-check it. I was about to pull the trigger on the insurance tonight, and then I decided I should wait and call and talk to someone there on Monday morning first. I'm very concerned about making mistakes with this stuff!

Haha and the "critical thinking" we hear so much about begins :)

Good news, guys! I'm not a criminal :)

Oh man! I take BLS for $65 on Saturday (in Sacramento)

I just finished CPR! All that's left is buying uniforms and finishing up immunizations ?

Hey Z,

Orientation was good. But LOOONG! Now comes the part where we all rush around getting vaccines and physicals and obscenely expensive uniforms. (Seriously? Did anyone else check out the Dove apparel site? Yowzers! I have always maintained a love-hate relationship with white clothing because I am a magnet for icky stuff. I think maybe I should buy Dove stock now...)

And congratulations to you, ordinarykathy!

Thank you so much!! And zasaeki too :) the amount of support on this thread is amazing, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone who will be attending. I applied for PCC the day of orientation, has anybody gotten their registration date yet?

I haven't... I got a summer school registration date, but not one for fall yet... I applied to PCC in February (presumptuous? Yeah :))

Not presumptuous, rather smart! I should have done the same... I applied to multiple RN programs, and every one but PCC required that I apply to their college before submitting my application. So I should have know better :p

Well... The good news is I will only need the hepatitis b vaccine... the bad news is my doctor's office didn't report the numerical values of my tests or the ranges =\

Hopefully it won't be too hard to correct...

Congrats on the BLS and the clean background check, Shye! Got mine back as well. High fives for not being criminals! I went to do TB and titers today. Lucky me had immunization records for a couple of things. I'll go back for results on Wednesday. I just need to order transcripts from various and sundry places, deal with NSO insurance, and order my supersexy uniforms!
