Hello! To the people who applied to PCC's RN program for spring 2014 semester, have you guys received acceptance emails yet? Also, does receiving an invitation to take the TEAS test automatically imply that you're accepted to the program, as long as you pass the exam? Any comments or thoughts towards the program at PCC would be greatly appreciated. Trying to decide between Chaffey OR PCC!

Thanks!

I got my acceptance letter today after being an alternate. Unfortunately, I'm on vacation out-of-state and I am unable to attend the orientation on Wednesday. They said it was fine but I should ask someone to take notes for me. Is there anyone that is attending and would be willing to help? Please and thank you!

Katelyn, what's your email? I can send you the enough tomorrow after orientation.

@Katelyn what was your GPA and teas score?

I hope I get in :(

congrats folks, just relocating to pasadena for the program, is anyone looking for a room mate? thanks

Thank you so much valjones! It's [email protected]. =)

Christina, my GPA was a 3.2 I believe and my teas score was a 79%. I didn't get a chance to really study for the teas and most of my prereq's were about to expire since I've taken them years ago. This was my first time applying at PCC. Fingers crossed for you!

ksin, congrats! My husband and I were discussing how we were going to afford me not working a full time job. We have been bouncing around the idea of a roommate and will keep you in mind if we do decide on it. Good luck to you and see you in class!

I just emailed you. If you didn't receive the email please let me know.

Hey everyone. Does anyone know if we can buy used pharmacology books...?? I know with the N50 courses they were really insistent at orientation about us buying the pearson package. Let me know if anyone has heard anything about the pharm books. Thanks :)

Hi everyone. Would you guys mind sharing what was covered during orientation? I'm an alternate, but I'd like to know what to expect should I get accepted (fingers crossed lol). Book list, materials. .. any information is greatly appreciated!!! :geek:

Hey guys, I used an old edition of pharm and dosage calc (my sister was in a nursing program years prior elsewhere) and it was perfectly fine, I assure you. the chapters are switched around but otherwise as long as you know the title of chapter the reading is all there :) But if you are one of those who has to get everything brand new with no markings, I totally understand because I'm one of those people too. But the books were getting quite expensive, so I opted to use what was available. However I made sure my other books (like med surg) were brand spankin new because the markings would bother me since I'd be using it until the end of the program. Good luck guys!

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

Hello, I'm starting the PCC program this Spring as well. I just got accepted yesterday and was informed we start Monday! Crazy. I was unable to attend any orientations and the office is closed so I have so many questions but I am not able to talk to anyone about anything. Do you think you could tell me what books we need for the first semester? Please email me: [email protected]
