Pasadena City College ADN Program Fall 2022

Published

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to PCC's ADN program. Fall 2022 applications open up on April 1st so I hope we can use this page to support and guide each other!

I will be applying with either 87 or 92 points depending on if they accept my license/certification. This is my first time applying and frankly the only school I'm really looking at so I hope I get in!

I received my letter as well!!

Call the health sciences division. There is no reason for you to not have received an acceptance letter with 90 points.

Thanks for the tip, Dehvin. They're closed now. Gonna be a lonnnng 3-day weekend ? I hope I didn't make some sort of mistake on my application. ?

Maybe wait more then. I applied pretty soon, the 1st day they opened the application period. 90 is high points. I emailed them yesterday, they told me they almost done with application so maybe they will sent more today and tmr. I’d wait until end of the day. Keep me posted

Nothing yet. I applied on the 6th of April, so not that far into the application window. Who knows what's going on, trying not to get all anxious about it. Hopefully I'll be in your cohort though, y'all seem pretty nice ? thanks for the reassurance

I applied with 90 points (92 if they accept my foreign language certificate). You applied with 87, right? Just concerned because I haven't heard back from either ?

I'm not sure what you mean by foreign language certificate but if you're talking about the section asking if you're fluent in a language other than English, it's just self-reported. The admission person said you don't really need to submit proof for that part so that means you should have 92 points. It could be that you miscalculated the points or your TEAS score didn't arrive in time, etc. Like ^ said above, I'd say just try calling and asking to know for sure though I doubt they'll answer (I've tried calling multiple times before and literally never answers), or email the nursing admission counselors! Usually directly emailing them is a way to guarantee a response. I'm sure you feel really anxious right now so anything to ease your mind!

Good luck to you! I hope you will get in this cohort.

Yeah that's what I understood about the language too, but wasn't 100% sure do I told myself I had 90 points to play it safe. Ugh, I got an 87% on the TEAS, giving me the highest amount of points we could earn, I believe. I also attached a PDF of the results and emailed the score through ATI the same day I applied. Only thing I can think of is maybe one of my transcript PDFs didn't show up?? Blah.

Hope you all are having a good long weekend. When I got home from work on Friday I emailed health sciences explaining my situation (the office was already closed so I couldn't call). Was wondering if you had the direct emails to the nursing admission counselors @halobuffgen? I can't seem to find those emails anywhere on the website and I wasn't able to attend an info session.

Secondly, I was hoping anyone who has officially been given an acceptance letter could tell me when you have to submit your form of intent.  In reviewing the thread for the Spring 2021 cohort, someone received their acceptance letter on September 9th and it stated that they needed to fill out their intent form by September 13th. That's less than five days!! I'm wondering if the fall session cohort has a similar timeline. Anyone willing to screenshot their acceptance letter so I can get an idea of what I'm working with would be great!

I've gone over my points and requirements, again and again, coming to the same conclusion every time. I do not think I made any mistakes at this point, so I'm hoping they're still processing applications. Any input you guys have would be so helpful. Thank You ?

Hi guys.

Any updates ? I haven’t received any emails yet.

Posting for updates

For people who accepted admission Nursing Program in Fall. Have you received your confirmation for intent form and student information form yet?
