Parkland New Grad Med-Surg Fellowship Program

I applied to the fellowship program at parkland recently and would like to know if anyone else applied and recieved a call back.Any info would be great Thanks...:nurse:

I'm sure you passed @allicat.... Do you mind me asking which study aides you used? Did you do a review or just practice questions? I'm debating on doing a review because of the expense.

You will def meet my friend. How funny. The manager for the area hired 3 new nurses....

I did pass!!!!! And I did the hurst review in jan and again in may. They have a bunch of practice tests and I did like 1200 questions the week before! Practice questions and reading the rationales I think really helped!!! LOTS of select all that apply!

Congratulations!!I'm very happy for you :D I'm also doing the Hurst review. One thing, did you already receive your license or how does it work? I still need to schedule the test but wanna know if it's fast so I don't schedule it too soon.

I have a license number on the board of nursing. I tested Tuesday and it was on there on Thursday. I was told the bon updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I don't have my paper license yet. Not sure how long those take to be send out.

Congrats allicat! Where did you do your questions from? I did Kaplan and Hurst! I'll be taking Nclex within the next 2 weeks!

Hi, I also got the med-surg job offer from Parkland. I received an email from the HR stated that they are "in the process of completing offer letter" on Jun 4th. However, it's been 20 days since Jun 4th, and I didn't receive the offer letter. Did anyone receive theirs? I also emailed back to the HR, but I didn't receive any replies... Any thoughts? Thanks!

They sent the email for employee health screening last week. Did you get it?

Yes, I got the health screening email. I guess I will get the offer letter after I tell them I have passed my NCLEX. Thank! :woot:

I got the offer letter on July 3rd. Does anyone know for sure if Parkland will have a Sept internship? I have a few friends who want to apply

Hi all- did anybody ever get deadlines, etc for September residency start date? I imagine it's too late now for an actual internship position. I got the idea that the dates were staggered throughout the different specialties/units. Did you just apply for it through a GN posting online, go to the HR office, etc? The info I found online gave very general info. Any tips appreciated!!!
