Hey guys,
I am looking for a bit of insight and knowledge such that I can finally make a decision. I'm at a crossroads right now in school and need to decide my path. I currently attend UNM and have been informed that their programs in both EMS and Nursing are outstanding.
That said, I guess I'm looking for a thorough list of current pro's and con's for both professions here in Albuquerque -- or at least some suggestions.
I thank you for any help given and look forward to your responses.

I'm not sure I can break down pro's and con's for you, but you could try job shadowing for one shift in each field and see which one calls to you more. I know Presbyterian Downtown (the one on Central) will let you job shadow a nurse fairly easily, and I would think that you could arrange a ride-along situation with one of the local EMS services without too much difficulty. That way you can see both worlds and decide which one fits your personality best. Although you can always start with one and go to the other after awhile-there are plenty of people that do that. Good luck!

This is an old post... but, have you made a choice yet?
