Paramedic bridge in GA

Have any paramedics recently finished or close to finishing the program and what's up with preceptorship?

Specializes in EMT since 92, Paramedic since 97, RN and PHRN 2021.

There is no preceptorship . I'm a medic in Pennsylvania and am a few months away from finishing. This is a transitional program. They base the program that you have been a medic and have been exposed to clinical environments in your work as a medic. Therefore there are no clinical requirements. The only time you have to do anything clinical is when you take the CPNEs. They are your hands on praciti all tests.

PM me if you need more info. It's a left program.

In GA depending on your years of experience, GA does require at least 240 hours of clinical experience. I know GA has a medical facility in Norcross that will fulfill this requirement from GA BON. Call EC and be sure to ask. GA is one of those states that require a lot more than other states.

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

There IS a preceptorship for licensure in Georgia. The forms and information are available here: Download Forms

Look for the one called "Guidelines - Graduates of Nontraditional Nursing Programs" and "Guidelines - Preceptorship (480 Hours)."
