We have a bit of a struggle on our hands. The management is really smothering the nurses by posting security everywhere and making rounds to talk to everyone. I feel like I'm being watched everywhere I go. Security even comes up to the units and asks about the visitors that sit in the lobby. Its really too much.
They had the CNO come and talk to everyone about Hospitals and Unions. She really made some dumb comments about she knows she didn't get into this business for the money! Really?!?
Now all of a sudden the hospital is giving us a transport team, a lift team, and a raise! Haha
And guess what? This is only a one time raise! One lift team and one transport team for the entire hospital. Yes we will take the raise but vote in the union anyway!
What is the name of the hospital that got a raise and then the day after they narrowly missed voting union the hospital took it all away?
I'm afraid some of the nurses will be swayed to not vote union. We will see.
Nurses from other hospitals are being so supportive! Its wonderful. Its an exciting time to be at PVH. Hopefully there will be a change.
