I would like some info regarding this community college in East Texas!! Have you or somone you know attended either program? Is it difficult to get in? Tuition reasonable? Pre-req's seem doable-Chem 1405, Biol 2401 and 2402, Psch 2301. They have a bridge program so that's an interest to me!!! ALL INFO WELCOMED!! TIA!!

PurpleLVN,

I saw your post and looked at Panola's website and I am interested in their Panola One program (online ADN). I was just wondering if you have talked to them and what you may have found out.

Thanks!

No I haven't called them-wanted to talk with someone whose actually done or is doing the program first. I'm not ready to attend just yet but I'm trying to find out about several programs to find the right fit!! :D

PurpleLVN,

I hope to make some phone calls today to different nursing programs in my area. I will let you know if I talk with anyone at Panola.

Take care!

Thanks TXRN2B13-What other programs are you interested in? I've checked DNI and they are too expensive and unaccredited-so they would be my last resort. El Centro College wants med-surg job experience prior to admittance-which I don't have. I'm looking at a couple of schools in OK and one in Kansas!!

i take it by your name that you are already an lvn? if so, does this allow you to do the rn bridge 100% online? i'm just wondering what that would be like? given that i'm not an lvn and started from scratch without any college hours, i tailored my prereqs and coreqs to tvcc (trinity valley community college) in kauffman. however, competition is so great, i'm not certain that i will not be accepted. therefore, i am looking at other programs, but every program requires different prereqs/coreqs (which would throw me a semester behind and possible having to wait a whole other year before applying) that i would need to make application in their program. so, i'm at a loss right now ... trying to figure out what plan b and c will be. i have visited el centro, but it just wasn't for me (so large). collin county is on my list to contact, but i believe that they take a different entrance exam than the hesi a2 that i have already successfully taken (plus i would need 2-3 additional classes). i am currently taking an online class through paris junior college, but that is a little far for me to drive. i have looked at grayson county college (again a couple of additional classes). i just learned of panola over the weekend from this message board (defiantly want to talk to them). navarro college is another program who offers an information session in november. i have even contemplated getting my lvn first and then bridging. i just don't know what is best! decisions, decisions! lol

Yes, I'm an LVN hoping to bridge if I can find a program that fits my needs. The school in Kansas (Pratt Community College) with the on-line bridge requires that students come to campus 4 times for the program. This can vary but of course I can make arrangements for this. There are so many programs-and from what I've learned on this website is that the programs in OK and other states can be easier for (acceptance, pre-req's ,etc) than here in TX. So I'm checking them all out and making notes for when I'm ready to make a move!!

hey guys i need help to choose between panola n tyler junior college for the rn program, they both acceptrd me can anyone help in the decision making?
