I am a recent BSN grad and i have a panel interview next week. This is my first time doing a panel interview and I was wondering what I should expect in terms of the interview procedure. The panel consists of 5 - 6 people and they will be interviewing 4 candidates at the same time. Does the panel ask a separate question to each and every candidate or do they ask the same question to all the candidates. Also, when they ask a clinical scenario question, how do they present the question to the candidates. Can any candidate put up their hand and answer the question or does each one wait for their turn. Any input, advice/ suggestions will be highly appreciated.

All the panel interviews I have had asked each candidate individually the same question and same scenario.
My advice is to be extremely confident and outspoken. I never refer to another cadidate and say, "Well like so and so I had this happen." I always say this is my situation and this is my experience and this is why I am the best of the crowd.
Thanks for the info, but if each candidate is asked the same question and if you happen to have a similar answer, is that a problem. I know it cant be exactly similar but some standard questions can have a few repetitive words./answers. Also, if the clinical scenario is the same for all of them, then isn't the last candidate at an advantage to answer since he/she gets to think and gather thoughts and be more prepared to answer.
No one has ever said panels were fair or awesome...lol
They started with a different person with each new question to even it out.
To be honest, they are not 100% all about the answers to the questions. Most of what they are looking at is your demeanor, HOW you answer the question, and HOW you deal with the other candidates and panel staff.
