Wondering who else out there applied to the Palomar new grad program in San Diego? The application went up at 7 this morning, and I just checked at 11:45 AM and its already disappeared. Good luck to those applying. Lets comment and commiserate :)

ginalizar and twilight_saturn: Were either of you CCEs? What time did you interview? I also got the email hooray!! I interviewed at 0900. I know of two other people who got the email. Anyone know how many were going to be hired? I heard 16 from someone at the interview...and a total of 60 were interviewed.
I heard the start date is October 8th. Anyone hear anything different??

Hi psalm21! I interviewed at 1330, during my interview they noted that they had actually heard there were more positions that they had thought and I assume it may end up being more than 16. I was not a CCE for Palomar though....what unit did you say you prefer???
I said telemetry, but that I was open to any as I know a lot of units incorporate telemetry. I am so excited at this opportunity. What unit did you prefer? Are you from SD? What school? Congrats to you!
What other questions did you guys ask the interviewers? Maybe we can compile preliminary info for each other. (Of course nothing is certain until we hear it directly from official source). I asked them, for example, how long the residency program would be and was told it is 10 weeks long but may be longer depending on what specialty we are hired into.

Congratulations to everyone who got the email! I too, am one of the final candidates. What was so strange was I couldn't sleep soundly last night because for some reason I had a feeling that I may get a call/email from PPH today. And of course I was imagining all sorts of responses...the acceptance AND denial LOL. So does anybody know whether this is still a screening process? As in would more be rejected if they feel the letters of recommendation are not strong enough compared to others? I almost peed my shorts thinking it was a final acceptance. Then again, you never know and I don't want to get too excited, then hear that they have to cut more people. Congrats again to all of you in the boat with me, lets cross all our hands, toes, legs, eyes and wish we all get a position!!!
