Hello,
After spending just over a year at Riverside CC, my husband is now having us relocate down to the San Diego area. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the move but I'm also looking into the schools down there. So far, San Marcos looks like a promising city for us.....Does anyone know about Palomar College?...is it a great school? I saw that they have a nursing program...I just need to transfer all my courses I have taken so far....well if anyone knows about the area...please let me know:)
Thank You,
Tessa

And I am on the wait list for the nursing program. It is a VERY good program with high NCLEX pass rates. Have you taken nursing courses at Riverside and you now want to transfer those to Palomar? Where in the county are you moving to? I ask because there are several other CC nursing programs in the county and depending on where you are, a different CC might be closer for you.

When I lived in CA (Poway, went to HS in Escondido), Palomar Community College had a great program. From what I understand now, the nursing program is highly recommended. If you're in North County, that may be one of the better places to go.
Good luck!

I just read in the paper that Palomar CC in San Marcos, CA is starting an evening/weekend program. http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2006/03/29/news/inland/16_16_403_28_06.txt
It will be a go for this Fall 2006 if they are able to find two more nursing instructors.
Since there are now over 400 on the waiting list, this is excellent news!
