Hi all,
I noticed there wasn't a thread yet for the PLU ELMSN 2023 Cohort so I wanted to get one started. Has anyone else already been admitted into the program and accepted? I received my admittance email on Jan 27th and accepted yesterday! Excited to meet/chat with others who have applied and best of luck to everyone!
Best,
Ryan

I can email you the CRN list. You can sign up for any lab that's listed.
AliciaR said:Im in the same boat as you. I talked to the heath center and they said most people go ObamaCare, but to check with the nursing school since they have special requirements for insurance apparently. Im currently Kaiser and hope to stick with Kaiser, just move over to WA
Hi Alicia!
Okay, yes. I will call and ask about the special requirements.
I also have Kaiser and would like to keep it. I was told by the Washington health plan finder rep that some Kaiser centers may accept Apple health, but be sure to call ahead of time and inquire about this beforehand.
I am also wondering when is the best time to cancel my Ca insurance? I do still need insurance up until I get to Washington at the end of May and don't think I can have an open case in both states. I was told that insurance coverage will be retroactive to the first day of the month when I am approved.
AliciaR said:I looked up Apple Care and it said you had to be a WA resident for 5 years??!! ? you might qualify for Medicaid through Kaiser if you're not working. That's what I'm going to look into
Oh noo I just read that online as well. I do not plan on working during the prelicensure portion of the program. What steps are you taking to go about this? Can I email you?
Katie L said:Were you guys able to register for the lab for CRN 20562 (clinical practicum II)? My registration is saying that there is a time conflict with CRN 20561 (which there is) but 2 out of the 3 labs that are available start at 8am on Monday which is the same day and time as CRN 20561 LOL!
We were instructed to wait to register for Fall because there are schedule conflicts. Once these are resolved, they will notify us and we can register ?

Hi Alicia,
I just called Washington health plan finder and was told that I do not have to be a resident of 5 years. Because I am moving to Washington, that is considered a qualifying event & I am eligible for Apple Health. I just have to wait until I have a Washington home address before I can apply. Hope this information helps you as well!
