Has anyone applied to Pace University's combined degree program in Westchester for this coming Spring? I just applied and I am anxiously awaiting my acceptance or rejection notice. I haven't taken the GRE yet (will do in August).
If anyone feels comfortable sharing their GRE scores or GPA, and whether or not they were accepted, I would be really appreciative.
Also, maybe if I get accepted, we could start getting to know each other before the semester starts.
Hello I just registered for this website and has found this site very useful. I am currently applying for the Pace CDP Program for Spring 2010 and was wondering if I have a chance with a 2.7 GPA and a 3.3 GPA in my prereqs...I will be taking the MAT exam and gathering all my data...
I don't have a good gauge myself. I went to the open house they had in April and they said they like a 3.0 in undergrad, 1000 in GRE's and B's in prerequisites, but none of those things are hard and fast rules. I remember him saying that if you don't have the 3.0, they'll look more carefully at your prerequisite classes and science classes you took in undergraduate school. I have a 3.95 in my undergrad (business) degree, from Pace, but barely broke 1000 on my GRE's and got C+'s in A&P I and A&P II, both. So I'm naturally pretty worried. Pace is my first choice, but I applied to CNR and also bunch of A.A.S. programs just to be on the safe side.
Ugh! I'm preparing for my GRE now. My uncle did the accelerated at Pace but he didn't have to take the GRE, I'm assuming because he did the part time 2 year version of it.
you still need the GRE for the 2 year program at Pace. Maybe he took it years ago before they required it. The reason they require the GRE is because they offer Grad courses too.
Do you know when they started requiring it? He graduated in 2008 I believe. I remember him starting in 2006 or so, maybe 2005. When I told him I was interested but the GRE turned me off he had no idea what I was talking about, lol.
Would you mind telling me... When did you apply, and the all-important, what grades did you have in undergrad, prerequisite classes, and on the GRE's?
Also, did they tell you in email or via snail mail?? I'm expecting to hear any day, but suspect there's prolly a 50/50 chance I'll get on vs not get in.
