Pace ABSN program starting 2013

U.S.A. New York

I know it's early, but is anyone else looking at Pace's ABSN program to start in 2013? I'm 90% finished with my prerequisites and just getting the pieces together to start the application process!

Anything anyone?

I actually called in yesterday to the graduate admissions office. You all know how the final deadline was April 15th? The lady said that they did not start reviewing the applications until that day which does not make any sense because there were interviews before that date! I spoke with a different individual regarding interviews and that person said that the interviews were held to clarify some questions regarding the applicant's applications. She said that letters have been going out since the final deadline and will continue to go out. My application is still in review. Is anyone else's application status say that as well??? Has anyone at all heard back yet???

I thought interviews were required for this year. There's so many different answers from these people lol

Wow... this is so confusing!! Of course they reviewed applications before April 15th otherwise, how would you explain the interviews? For everything I've heard in this forum, I am not really sure anymore if the interviews were required for this years admission or if they were only giving interviews to people on the boarder line. Something I remember from the day of my interview was that the director of graduate admissions greeted us by saying that "you should feel pretty good about being here today because many applicants will not make it to this point". To be honest, I don't know anymore about what they are doing because if the interviews were specifically to clarify some questions regarding the applicants applications, how would we explain they giving group interviews with basic nursing interview questions? that's very broad! I haven't received anything yet and it scares me because when I called admissions at the end of March they said that some letters already went out right after the first interviews held on March 18th.:down: I hate not knowing what's going on....Good luck to all of us!

I find it hard to believe that ANY decision letters have actually gone out for the CDP. I don't think even the admissions office knows what is going on with this program -- they deal with applications for all schools and programs, each having its own special process.

Here's an idea for anyone who applied: Call the office and state that you were accepted to another school (NYU, for instance) and you have to pay a deposit by Monday, and you need a decision from Pace soon because it's your first choice and yada yada yada. I doubt that will hurry them up, but they (admissions and the nursing dept.) need to realize that if they delay accepting people any longer, all the good applicants will be taken by other schools.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Hi,

So I called the admissions office this morning and ask the lady if she knew when will decisions will be made. She put me on hold for like 5 minutes (apparently to talk to an advisor) when she came back she said that no desicions have been made for the applications that are in committee. She also said that they are planning on sending letters starting next week.:banghead: what is going on with this people? Did anybody received any letters from Pace yet?

nope nothing at all. however, i got into my first choice school so it doesnt matter to me. i feel for you guys though this is a LONG time to wait especially for those that had interviews a month ago!

Nope nothing for me either. It's funny because when I called two weeks ago they said the same thing. I'm guessing they had a lot of applicants but it's still torture to wait. Many of the other big name schools sent out their acceptance letters already.

@blueangel2241- congrats!!! At least you no longer need to be tortured like us -.-

I forgot to mention that they also said that they are planning on doing more interviews.....

thanks kjoseph! don't they realize they are losing candidates left and right to other schools because they're taking so long?
