Hi
I have a great desire to work in Canada .I work as endorsed nurse in Australia with 3 yrs experience.I did Endorse enrolled nurses certificate course.I am a "Division 2 nurses" in Australia
what are the requirements to get a nursing job in Canadian.
Is Endorsed Enrolled Nurse Certificate course equivalent to LPN in Canada .Do I need to take up a bridging course.Which province is better to get a job quickly.
Also can any body suggest me which college is good to take up a LPN course with respect to less fees. And which college provide Co-Op courses.
What is the age limit for nurse.
Thank you in advance

Essentially, an enrolled nurse is equivalent to a Canadian LPN. But LPN isn't on the list for skilled worker emigration. So you will not be offered a work permit. If you really want to work as a nurse in Canada you will need a Baccalaureate degree in nursing. It's unknown how your credentials would be assessed by Canadian universities. Tuition and fees run around $5-6000 a year. You'll have to choose a province where you want to LIVE and then find out how to go about registering and finding work. Each province is different on about every measure.
Thank you for the prompt reply.
I am planning to do LPN program(2 yrs ) from any of Alberta college. My first choice was Bow Valley college but they only have seats for May 2015 session .I don't want to wait for a year.
Can you please suggest me any other college in Calgary which provides good clinical experience as part of the corse.
One of my friend suggested me to go for a CoOpt LPN program.
Columbia college fee is around $37000.phew
NorQuest seems good but it is in Edmont.
I will really appreciate any info regarding the colleges for LPN.

Uhm, really?
You need to apply to a provincial college of nursing to have your education assessed. They will determine where you fall on the practical nursing spectrum.
I have over the years encountered the odd Enrolled Nurse who emigrated and registered as LPNs (in Alberta and BC).
But they usually moved here due to marriages.
