Hello everyone! Is anyone applying to the Our Lady of Lourdes RN program in Camden September 1st? Has anyone heard any new information about the waitlist for those accepted into the program? I was hoping we can keep each other updated!
Congratulations to those who got their acceptance! I just went to the Fall 2019 pre-orientation and they said they rank students and then place them wherever there is an open spot available. A big factor in the ranking is the ATI TEAS score. ATI is their educational source for most lecture work. By the end of the nursing program the online ATI program will let me you know when you have a 99.9% chance at passing the NCLEX. It also keeps you updated and lets you know your pass rate through out the entire program! That's why OLOL has over a 98% pass rate. For those who haven't applied, get that TEAS score up!
@CynTaylor2018 yay congratulations! My friend unfortunately got denied. Any advice you can share for when she reapplies? She's feeling very discouraged. What did you improve/work on for applying a second time? She was denied because "the program is competitive & a large pool of applicants were reviewed" (the typical excuse)
I applied twice. Last year when I applied I had a 2.8 gpa and I didn't finish the prerequisites. I never inquired why I wasn't accepted but it did crush my ego. The interview for me was the most imporatnat because they get to know you and where your head is and then you meet the admissions coordinator. She expressed to meet that my teas science scores were impressive because I hadn't taken any sciences yet. I just knew I had to retry so I applied again. I submitted one more letter of recommendation and I waited. The longest wait ever. You don't get a second interview which I was surprised but relieved. My advice for her is to keep trying. There are people in this chat that got in to the spring and fall 2020 semesters. And not to mention I kept bothering them with all of my questions. I also had to take specific classes that were not offered at rcgc. So, I ended up paying out of pocket for classes at ccc to fulfill the needs of this program. Whatever it takes to get them to notice your hard work and persistence.

I'm sorry to hear about your friends colleague. I was told someone received an acceptance letter this morning for Fall 2019. I still have not received an email. Praying for a positive email soon.
