I have not! I even emailed ------------------------ and she never emailed back. Getting kind of antsy!

I emailed her too awhile ago and she did get back to me. She said to wait for further info because they were changing some procedures and I could do things too soon. Since I’m out of state I was wanting to get a head start on some things in case it takes longer. I did just see their immunization requirement form on their website and decided to request my immunization records since who knows how long that’ll take to get. I just want to know if they’re going to actually require us to come in person for that orientation and when since 1)covid and 2) I’ll have to figure out what to do with my daughter.

Get ready for a lot of zoom meetings.  Very little in person stuff.

I am getting so antsy too! I figured with the holidays it’s extra slow, so I was planning to waiting until mid January before reaching out. I’m moving for my husband’s job but relocating in general from another state so I’m anxious and want to know what dates we need to get stuff done by and when orientation is. I figured some classes would be online since when we applied it did say hydbrid. Hopefully we are still able to do clinics and all of that though!

Hello! Just checking to see what people thought of that orientation! It was exciting to finally get some information. I was mildly disappointed that they didn’t bring up funding at all. Some of my other programs said they had people who specifically work to make sure that you can figure out what type of loans to apply for. I contacted financial aid to ask about award letters and they said they send them out may 1st. That doesn’t give anyone any time to apply for private loans!

There is minimal assistance with financial aid.  If you don't qualify for a scholarship based on ancestry, excellent grades, or outside of the school, you would have to qualify for a federal grant/loan of some sort.  They do the fedederal grants and loans automatically.  I could have borrowed a scary $33,000!  I thought about using it for a car loan, but I thought I'd better not.  On their website it says the average scholarship is $1500 and that is probably accurate.

@truckinusa are in the traditional program currently!?

Long story, this is my third attempt and hopefully the last at RN school.  I like it for the most part.  You don't get a lot of personal attention unless you demand it.  They just have too many students.

Are they doing a lot of zoom? I just got accepted a couple weeks ago for the fall 2021 program.

All lectures are 100% zoom.  They have days where we are demonstrating in the lab and that is in person.

What does your weekly schedule look like?
