Hi everyone,
I am an experienced RN from BC that is moving to Ottawa due to my Hubby's work transfer. I have noticed there are few and far between jobs out there and was wondering if there are any other places to look other than the hospitals. I am ok with part time for now, I just would like to find something before we move in April. I did find a posting for an RN in the field for Innomar Strategies, but I know absolutely nothing about this company. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

From what the Ontario posters have said, lately, finding a job out there is going to be slow going.
Best be prepared to start at the bottom of the totem pole as a casual.

In Ontario at the moment, the job market is a little better for RPN's. As Fiona said, you will most likely have to accept casual or temp work as an RN. I remember that even the experienced agency nurses were finding it hard in ON. That's why I left. Too few opportunities and the Ottawa hospital was on a hiring freeze in July and Aug.
