Other careers in CO besides nursing??

Okay I am just curious. It looks like many posters on this board wanting to get into nsg school have other bachelor degrees or are 2nd career students. Do y'all have other jobs in Denver - if so what do you do? Are there any other valid career opportunities in CO? I know the job market is tight but it isn't the greatest in nsg either.

I have a master's degree and worked in publishing for more than 20 years, until this August. I thoroughly enjoyed my job, my colleagues and my terrific manager but I finished what I set out to do in that field. I still take on freelance assignments from time to time, and could make a fulltime living from that if I wanted to--but I don't.

Now I want to explore a change to health care because I'm interested, not because I expect to make as much money as I did in publishing or because I expect it will be easy to find a nursing job. For all I know, I'll find out that health care is not a good match for me after all. I'm letting myself take the time to find out, though.

Hope, is that what you were interested in learning, or did you have another question that I didn't answer?
