Nurses Job Hunt

Hi all!

I have a few quick questions. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

1. Other than Arial and Times New Roman, what fonts can be used on a printed resume?

2. How many different fonts can be used in a printed resume?

3. On a printed resume, which should be listed first: volunteer nurse work or clinical rotations?

4. Can you put your contact information in the header of a printed resume?

5. What is the best color paper to print your resume on?

Thank you all in advance!

1) I think the font should be crisp, clean, easy to read and non distracting I used calibri

2) one font throughout - you can bold headings

3) I have volunteer information included near the bottom of the page under Community Service

4) yes! Your header should have your name and contact information

5) white or ivory resume paper

hope this helps!

AllInRN,

Thank you so much for replying! Your answers were very helpful. It is good to know that there are other options other than Arial and Times New Roman that can be used. Calibri does look nice.

You are so welcome! There are so many ways and opinions on how to do your resume. I used career services at my school to help me with mine. Sometimes little tweaks can make the difference.
