I had mine done a few years ago,was done by "Keyhole" surgery and I never had any problems afterwards, was off work about 6 weeks as job involves heavy lifting but the keyhole surgery is "supposed" to let you get back to normal very quickly. I kept mine! They ,two of them, are still in a jar somewhere!
I know of two other friends who had this procedure done and they had minor complications afterwards but are perfectly fine now.

NO, but my best friend did a couple of years ago. She said the surgery wasn't so bad, but the sickness that led to the surgery was awful. She told me having a gallbladder attack was one of the worst pains she ever experienced (and she had two really large babies). I guess after the attack the surgery wasn't so bad.
Ok so I didn't mention crawling around on the floor banging head on wall because the pain was pure he11 or staggering down to casualty one night because I couldn't stand the pain or ending up a week in hospital with Cholecystitis and not being able to stand up for more than 15 minutes as it acted like a cork in a bottle and jammed up if I was not lying down.......after that surgery was a breeze:lol2:

Don't worry its a very easy procedure, I had it done a year ago, they did keyhole incisions and I recuperated in about 2 weeks. The pain from the stones is much worse than the surgery. My procedure was outpatient.
