OSU-OKC Fall 20

Published

I was just wondering if anyone was applying for Osu Okc nursing program for the fall of this year. I know its a lot of stuff going on right now with Covid-19 and schools closing and wondering if that's going to affect nursing programs going forward.

I was instructed to turn in the score along with the application. I would assume it would be used as a backup tie break or something. Not sure how it will be used. Keeping my fingers crossed for sure, as I'm sure that there are going to be plenty of well qualified applicants. How are you feeling about all of it?

I was feeling good at first but most definitely nervous now hearing that it was 400 applicants. I just wanna know as soon as possible because I would like to get myself ready to take the HESI since I wasnt able to in March. And I can take it again in August if they open it back up for us to do that.

Hopefully we can safely start opening campuses back up in time for fall semester. Seems like we're locked into a bit of a stalemate with the coronavirus. I didn't see you mention your points in the thread, maybe I just glanced over it. I hope you manage to make the cutoff!

Everyone is applying with up to 80 points without the HESI...makes me very nervous LOL

Does anyone have a guess on the cut off point?

If I HAD to guess, I would probably guess in the 80-85 range without the HESI included (I'm sure the scores will be used as some sort of tie-break). But it REALLY depends on what the other 400 applicants have, too. You could ostensibly be selected in the 60's if the pool of applicants have lower points. Ugh. So miserable not knowing what's going on with the whole process. But a lot of other people have done the waiting game, too. I can tell you I'm practically sleeping on top of my mailbox even though I know it will be well into the month before we hear anything. I sure hope you make cutoff!

Out of 400 applicants I wonder how many will have a 3.5-4.0

Fair question. One that I dont know the answer to, unfortunately. I guess all we can do is be anxious for the foreseeable future. I know for a fact that a LOT of people struggled in the science prerequisites. So, who knows?

Science prerequisites? Like what do you mean struggled?

Just things I would hear after we got exam scores back. I won't put anyone's business out there, but I know it was difficult for a lot of us.

Very true! I was a new mom and saved my science for last and struggled. It was hard having early morning classes living an hour away from campus and having a newborn LOL

Oh no I was just confused on what you meant you good.

I wish someone would call and see how many spots they are going to have this time because I think since they shut the school down that probably help alot of ppl be able to pass first semester and not have to have to many to repeat it you know
