  1. It was submitted. Just waiting on approval, I guess?
  2. Dumb question probably, but we're supposed to hit the submit button, yes?
  3. Hey, check integris. They have a bunch of Nurse Tech positions opened up. Most are PT or PRN though.
  4. No I meant working and going to school as an adult ?
  5. Is there another way??
  6. They can be for an electronic copy of the textbook, or can be for a standalone adaptive learning program like McGraw Hill. No idea what they will be for.
  7. I'm getting mine as soon as I can afford them ???
  8. With the pandemic going on, I believe their physical office is closed right now, but you can email and request them to call you. I didn't even think about that. I guess just spam their inbox? ? Such strange times. It couldn't hurt to set up a virtual advisor session, either. Gaytra is OK, but Jennifer Hernandez seemed to be a bit more helpful overall. Maybe they can help answer your questions more effectively than I can regarding timelines due to the COVID. Have you been calling 405-945-8646?
  9. Also, keep an eye on the financial aid tab in your my.okstate.edu account. There will be information updated there as well.
  10. Have you been to the FAFSA.gov website? That will be your first step, make sure you have your tax information from 2018 to fill out the forms. If you have never filed before, you will have to make an account. That takes about 10-15 minutes. The whole process if you have all the information, will take less than 30 minutes. During your filing, you will input your chosen school(s) so that the information will be automatically transmitted to the school after they approve you on their end. Then it will be up to the school to adjust and approve your award amounts. It will take time, so be prepared for that. Like I said before, also be prepared to call in to the financial aid office a lot.
  11. The timeline they gave you sounds like the disbursement period for excess money. You should be able to use overages to buy textbooks before that period, depending on when financial aid opens the option at the bookstore. I'll let everyone know when the window opens if I see it before you all do!
  12. It depends on a lot of factors. Where are you in the FAFSA process? If it has already been approved and sent to the school, make sure you stay on their butts over there at the financial aid office. There were a few times that first semester where I had to call in because they were WAY behind on the timeline they gave me just to find out that it had pretty much fallen to the side. But also be patient with them, they ARE good people that are just trying to help. Now, it also depends on what type of aid you are talking about. Pell grants only go to those that qualify, and go up to around 6000 depending on how much taxable income you reported. Loans are of two types... subsidized and unsubsidized. I myself try to only take subsidized amounts so that I'm not paying interest while I'm going to school. those amounts are usually fixed, but you can always take less than the offered amount on those. The Pell grants are always automatically accepted on your behalf and do not need to be repayed. Please let me know if I addressed your concern, or completely missed the mark! Hope it helps.
  13. I asked financial aid if we can use FAFSA overages for books this semester (it's been a thing at OSUOKC, but they changed bookstore operators) and they said it will be an option. Just waiting to see when that will come about. But yes, you will be able to use excess financial aid for bookstore purchases. Make sure to keep an eye on OSUOKC's financial aid page for information regarding a start date for using it for bookstore purchases. They always list a date for it.
  14. You can find the books on the bookstore website, as far as scrubs and all that, not sure. Waiting on orientation for that. Just use the hyperlink on the osuokc website to go to the bookstore and search for your section's textbooks! I think its 530 if you buy everything new, which I'm not sure if we need to or not. Congratulations! When did you find out?
  15. How do you mean?
