I am Wency, a registered nurse in the Philippines. I recently passed the IELTS (8.5, 7,7,7) and the NMC part 1 competency test which is the CBT. Now, I am preparing for the final test which is the OSCE. I am currently in the United Kindom particularly in Lincolnshire, and I would like to ask you guys if you know a training agency in the UK that provides training or preparatory course for OSCE because I am not confident to take it yet for some reasons that the Uk healthcare system is different from the Philippines perhaps they have different approach in providing care to the patients and etc.
Tuition fee for intensive revision for OSCE is not a problem as long as I can enroll for revision.
BTW, does anyone here have any experience with the OSCE trainings?
My email is [email protected] if anyone wants to be in touch for exchanging ideas/experience or studying together( I live in Nottingham)!
Hi could you email me on [email protected].
I am due for my osce this august and I need all the help I could get
Hi! It sounds weird but I just want to pay back the good deed a stranger did for me. He taught and explained osce. I might be able to help someone here as well. Please note i live in london.. :) you can drop a message in here.
Hello Ukrn2017, can you send me what are those things to read in preparation for the OSCE. I want to prepare very much in advance hoping to pass the OSCE in first try. I am currently waiting for my DL, and I want prepare early for OSCE. Currently I only have the Royal Marshden Manual of
Nursing Practice. If you have spare time, you can email me at [email protected], thank you in advance.
Did you pass?
I failed on my second try with the care plans. They stated it wasn't specific enough. I will be doing a third try this summer. Good Lord I hope I pass! I ended up losing my work visa and sponsorship because of this test. :-(
Hi bipana07. In real life when we give two antihypertensives at a time then we confirm it with the doctor. If the BP of the patient is high enough (150/90 or more), I think two antihypertensives can be given at a time. However, it is always wise to confirm first.
Regarding allergic to ibuprofen, I understand patient cannot be given ibuprofen but can be given other NSAIDS.
