Orems Theory!

hi everyone

I am hoping that someone could shed some light to my issues with my essay on Dorothea Orem. I have chosen to use her SCDTN model and i am going crazy trying to understand the concepts of it. Maybe i am trying to look to hard into it i don't know.. all i know is that i am in a massive muddle.

I just wanted to know if anyone could explain to me the Importance of the Orem theory in guiding practice? i'm not sure where i should look for information for this.. Is its just a general discussion of her model.?

The second question is : Relevance of Orem theory to contemporary practice?

this is my 1st semester 1st year at university. I should know these questions, but I'm really not thinking straight on this one. I wouldn't ask for help unless i really needed it. I really appreciate it if anyone could help me in anyway. I'm sure some of you have been through the tough times of first year students. Thanks in advance!
