Does anyone know anything about the Providence hospitals found throughout Oregon, specifically in Portland? Are they good hospitals and are their employees generally happy? Any help is appreciated!

The only thing that I've heard is that their pay is competitive and I read that on one of the post on this site. Are you wondering because of the Providence Scholarship at the University of Portland? I applied for the scholarship and should hear something by the end of next week hopefully.

Yep, I did apply for the Providence Scholarship. I just want to make sure that this hospital chain is a good one. I would hate to be stuck at a place I totally didn't enjoy.

I would like to know anything at all about Portland OR hospitals. We are moving out there soon. I am an OB RN and want to work in an L&D unit. Any comments from anyone?

My wife works for a labor and delivery unit at Providence hospital in Newberg, OR (about 25 miles south of Portland). She loves it! Great people, not too understaffed, competitive pay, great location to raise kids (if that is a factor). PM me if you want more info, or have other questions.
