Legacy Health Feb 2018 Residency Program

U.S.A. Oregon

I just wanted to get a post going to keep up with what is going on with the February 2018 residency program at Legacy. I just applied the other day and had a few technical issues with their site. i'm not familiar with their facilities so I ended up just putting any under requested location.

I know that med-surg, surgical specialties, and acute medical care have already finished interviews last week and have started sending out offers. I did my interview on the 10th, shortly after got a request for references/background check, and today got a job offer. As for the other units, I've heard because of availability of managers they haven't all scheduled second round interviews, so don't worry!

Out of curiosity, how many references did they ask for?

They asked for 4 references

No problem! Good luck!!!!

Thanks!! Have you heard about the oncology managers making calls yet by any chance? I wasn't sure if you included them in the med-surg specialties you mentioned.

I have not heard whether or not they are making calls yet, so I'm not sure. I only know surgical specialties, acute medical care, and med-surg (general) have finished making calls for second round interviews.

Also, just as a heads up, not sure if you're going to have the same interview questions but I just wanted to warn you that some of the questions (around 2-3), if I remember correctly, were pretty much the same as the first round interview so it's good to have a second backup example for questions like "name a time you had to make a change to your preformance" so you don't have repeat overlaping examples since you're sitting with the same managers as first round. Basically, the interview was behavior based questions and they took notes during the interview and had the interview questions pre-printed :)

Thanks for the info! That's really helpful. I'm actually surprised they would ask similar questions during the second round haha.

Hi All! Has anyone else completed any interviews? I did mine today and was surprised that 2 managers and an additional 4 staff members were on the panel! It was pretty intimidating. Wishing everyone good luck :)

I haven't heard back from them. I thought I did really well with a PCU and ICU manager at the first round but guess you never know.

Specializes in Neuro/Trauma Critical Care.

I've had a few interviews over the last three weeks and was surprised that another manager contacted me yesterday for the first time to interview in mid-december. So for anyone that hasn't heard I wouldn't fully give up until Dec 1. I was contacted yesterday though with an employment offer from one of the units I interviewed with and accepted. I'm still in shock haha!! Best of luck to everyone I hope you all end up where you want to be !!

That's so exciting, congratulations!!! Which unit did you accept an offer for?
