Congratulations to everyone who has gotten in! Has anyone been offered a seat off of the Ashland waitlist?

I was also waitlisted for Ashland- no word yet. I was waitlisted for both the ABSN and the 3 year 😩

Thank you! I was offered a ABSN seat, I did not apply to the three year. Good luck!

Hi all, just got off the waitlist for the Portland ABSN fall cohort, super excited. I was listed as "moderately" likely to get in, hope others find that helpful!

Thank you for sharing! I'm also placed on the moderately likely list and I have my fingers crossed I'll be offered a spot for Winter 2026 🤞🏻

Hi guys, not sure if anyone is still active here but figured it was worth a shot!

I am a 2026 hopeful and am sooo nervous to apply this fall. Those of you who have been successful, would you be willing to share some application tips and maybe some stats about your own application?

For example, I am on track to have a 4.0 in my prerequisites, but I do not have any healthcare experience. From what you know about your cohort, do I have any chance?

thank you :)

Don't be nervous, but do plan to put a considerable time investment into building your story, your why, and thoughtfully showing how the experience you do have sets you up for success.

I was waitlisted as highly likely. I got off the waitlist in May. Some of my stats:

My undergrad GPA was 3.6 (social science), my pre-req GPA was 4.0.
I am published author on a few sociological papers coming out of my undergrad thesis.
I have worked in corporate world for 10 years with progressively greater responsibility.
I have 5 years of volunteer experience for a crisis assault hotline as an on-call advocate.

I did not have any direct healthcare experience.

I will be direct with you: It's competitive. They value service work highly. If you're not volunteering currently, think about opportunities that align with your skills and future interests, then get after them. Don't be discouraged if you have to apply again, lots of folks that got in this year were previous applicants.

TL;Dr don't stress but definitely prep! look at your life and your experience holistically and start working now on a compelling story about why you will be successful and what you will bring to the program.
