OR Travel requirement

I was curious if any of you have ever had a "laser eye exam" requested of you? If so what did you turn in for it?? We used to get them years ago when using CO2 lasers but I have not had one in many years. Do you know if a comprehensive eye exam works for this?

I've never heard of that in 20 years of travel in the OR. Not a bad idea as I have heard first hand several horror stories of eye damage the hospital denies being caused by lasers. But you would need it before each assignment to be meaningful, just like an HIV test. Both types of injuries are relatively rare, but do happen and you want to know who is liable.

My recruiting people had no idea either. I got a comprehensive with retina scan. They seemed satisfied.

I used to work around a laser and was required to get a baseline (company provided) eye exam.
