HELLO!
i'm sorry if this is already a thread, i looked but couldnt really find one
I was just accepted to Humber College for bachelor of nursing degree. It is my first choice, and i am just about to accept. I wanted to get some opinions of nurses who have graduated from, or are attending humber college.
What do you think of it? Is it really difficult? Did you get the placement you wanted?
Anything that might be helpful would be GREAT
thanks a bunch everyone!
I took a LTC placement in Oakville. Got an awesome instructor (although she's on mat leave now so you wouldn't have her). Honestly, first year I would just pick the location closest to home for you. There is so much excitement for the first clinical placement, but it's really just focused on learning how to interact with patients. You'll do fine wherever you are!
Congratulations on your awesome GPA -and best of luck on the upcoming exams!

Thanks :) This semester was great and am so glad to be done first year. Just exams left and then onto second year.
Hey!
Just finished reading the whole thread!
OK so I know it is a little early, but I'm attending Humber's Bachelor of Nursing program this September and I'm hoping to get my CPR and PRC done ASAP. Is there anybody else attending this September? I'm kind of nervous because I have no idea what it will be like.
Hello Dawn.
I actually haven't started the program yet. I was enrolled in the GAS program and just got into the BN. My first year begins this September. Other than what people tell me, I don't know much about the program. I've heard though that second year is more intense in terms of writing and supposedly the second semester of year two is an absolute nightmare. If you haven't seen the year two courses on the Humber site, I would take a look at that and try to prepare for each individual course.

That is the easiest class. EVER. So don't worry about it. Going into my 3rd year. Barely went to that class and still got an A. There is no way (literally no way) you will fail that class.
