going back to work in the OR after being retired for a year.My mind seems to have gone blank.I remember jackson table from ortho. The fracture table we always called the fracture table-anybody know of another name for it. there was the general table, stryker table. Can anyone think of the names for any other tables?

There are Chick fracture beds, and Hana beds(also for fractures).

There are Andrews tables they use for backs which I really hate because positioning the patient into one of these is a HUGE occupational health and safety risk-I'm sure there is sader technology they can come up with.

I think what you call your fracture table is what we call our traction table. I hate the bloody thing because setting it up is always a nightmare and yes another OCHS risk because everything is sooo heavy on it.

And yes the Jackson OSI table-yet another thing to break our backs in ortho.

We use the Marquet tables and as I work in general we really only go supine or lithotomy on it.
