I am in the same boat as you (minus the phone interview, at least you got that!). The only open house I know of coming up for new grads is at MJHS. They have open interviews every week. I've been hesitant to go because they are a nursing home/hospice. I wouldn't mind doing it but I wonder if it would be easier for me to get into a hospital after a year or if they don't really count that experience.
Oh! And I also found this a couple days ago. I emailed the guy who's running it and he mentioned a few hospitals that will be there. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/diversity-recruitment-and-job-fair-on-healthcare-tickets-12418739785.
Good luck! Let me know if you hear of anything!
I actually went to that event and the hospitals that were suppose to be there never made it. However, the host of the event collected our resume and personally gave it to a nurse recruiter for Brookdale Hospital. I wish I did well on the phone interview though! Oh well, learn from your mistake and move on I guess. I might actually consider going to that open house at MJHS. Is it during business hours? I am just desperate for experience at this point. Thank you for replying back!

Hi everyone,
I am a new graduate (BSN program) and I passed the board 2 months ago. I am having a hard time getting calls from any position that I qualify for. I got a phone interview with North Shore LIJ, but I do not think that went well. I have been applying for jobs everyday and I am starting to feel like I will never attain a full-time position. I have a couple friends that attended the open house for New York Hospital of Queens and was hired a week after the event. I was hoping if anyone can share any open house or any career fair for nurses coming up this month or next month. It would be highly appreciated. I am itching to work and get my experience.
