Anyone applying to NP school in Ontario for the year 2025?

Would love to have a discussion started for acceptances, etc.

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to those who have been accepted and those still waiting please don't lose hope.

I am in a bit of dilemma. I have been accepted to both York and U of T and I am not sure which one to choose. York is providing me with a $10k fund.

I have three previous degrees from York and feel very familiar with their campus and website. For U of T I don't even know how to get my Uof T card LOL. Also I feel like U of T would be very isolating as it's all online. My ultimate goal is to work in primary care and teach as well.

what should I do? The deadline to accept is in 2 days.

Specializes in ICU.

Congratulations to everyone whose accepted and fingers crossed for who are waiting.

I got my offer from York on 18 th of June and rejected from UOT, I have 5 years of experience in ED and medicine, GPA: 3.60 for last 2 years.

Jvorou , if I were you I definitely go for UOT first for high ranking and also for online whivh gives you more flexibility in case of time. I got my bachelor of nursing from york but still prefer UOT. Good luck.

I was in the exact same Dilemma in early March when I got into both UofT and York- with a 10K scholarship to York. I chose UofT with no scholarship. I did this because I really loved the faculty, they are super organized and helpful compared to what I've heard about from people in the York program. For UofT- we already have our key sessional dates for the next 2 years so you know when reading week is/ exam period/ mandatory in person seminars are. My friend said communication from York has been more limited, less information on their faculty website as well. Also the flexibility of UofT being mostly asychronous online classes takes a large weight off of my shoulders for scheduling at work. But these are just my opinions and if these things matter to you or not. obviously a 10K scholarship is huge and it really depends on your financial situation as well.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I have been accepted to UofT's post-masters program today, so incredibly relieved! The wait was horrible but so worth it.

good luck to those still waiting!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!

I logged into my acorn today and it says invited and shows the $500 deposit is due tomorrow. But my application still says submitted and I don't have an official offer yet. Would you pay the $500 until the official offer comes? I just don't want a late deposit to affect my admission and I'm not sure who I can contact about this without an official offer yet.

Thanks for the help!!

Hello! Same thing with me... such a short notice for the payment. I paid it as I know the official letter won't come in the application management portal for probably another couple of days.

Hi,

Has anyone heard back from UOttawa for the MN NP?

I was waitlisted in April and haven't had any updates yet.

Your official offer should be uploaded to your application management portal now. Mine was there today (but weirdly enough, I didn't received an email about any of that). In the past, whenever an update was posted, I received an email indicating the need to login and check. So go check! It should be there, took a little over two days for me 😊
