Is that a route that a prenursing student can take to getting that rn degree online? What trusted online school are out there, and what are the pro & cons of receiving an online nursing degree?

My patience is starting to run short with trying to become a nurse. I've been at the pre-nursing crap for 3yrs now, & whenever it seems like Im so close to going to someones nursing school, it never fall through & its becoming depressing & im starting to feel like i may have to change my career, just to get a decent job. I know nursing is my calling, but i don't know if its worth wasting so much time. Life is to short for, & im getting no where!

Basic (pre-licensure) nursing education cannot be accomplished 100% online. Nursing is about applied skills & knowledge and there is just no way to do this in a 'virtual' way. Just imagine how you would feel if your family member was the first actual human being that the new RN had ever dealt with? Ludicrous, right?

Why are your attempts falling through? Is it related to grades? Personal situation? We need more information in order to provide you with good advice.

I went to a community college where I took a two year lpn program. Then I took the online rn program through excelsior. There is still a clinical experience before it's all said and done though. Just do some research. Not all states recognize excelsior or other programs like it.
