I did my first online practice test 2 weeks ago and scored a 67, then I continued studying my weak areas. I just did my second practice test today and received a 72. I wonder how much everyone here scored on practice tests comparing to the actual exam. I'm taking my exam this weekend and kind of nervous now. If you don't mind, sharing statistics is highly appreciated.
Hello lighton,
Im not really commenting to answer your question. This might seem random but I came across your thread from 2013 then it lead me to your other posts. Anyway I was just gonna ask how life has been being a student at de anza and if you have been accepted in the program already. I'm currently taking the pre reqs for the program. Idk I thought id ask someone who has experienced what i will be going through soon. Maybe it'll calm me down a little.
thanks

I just took the TEAS 6 after 3 months of studying and buying both practice tests. My experience is the practice tests were totally misleading. I got much better scores on the practice tests than on the real test.
SCIENCE: Many of the questions on the real TEAS test for were longer reading, more in depth and hence harder than what I studied.
MATH: The math was no problem in reading or difficulty and easy to prepare for.
ENGLISH: The English sections put a person from another country at a severe disadvantage due to the need to read a lot in a short time and understand what they are reading as well as having to simultaneously translate.
ENGLISH USAGE: The English usage section was also more difficult than the practice tests. The practice tests were almost simplistic compared to the real test.
The real test involved a lot more reading on the English comprehension and longer questions on the science section. Given more time it wouldn't have been such a problem on the reading comprehension.
I think things have changed in the last two years since some of the comments above were posted.
Good luck

Hello Lighton,
Im not sure how to contact you privately so I'm doing it here. I came across your thread from 2013 and I read your post from last year about the teas exam. I'm a student at de anza working on my pre reqs. I would just like to ask how life has been being a student at de anza and trying for the nsg program?
Thanks!
Sorry this might seem random but I'm feeling a little discouraged lately, everyone in my class seem to be catching on the material just fine while I'm struggling so badly.
Hoping to hear from you,
KV
