Hello everyone, I am new to this board and I need a little help. Does anyone have any suggestions for online Patho courses? I really need this class but it's been so hard to find it online. I work fulltime so it's impossible for me to go to class during the day and I cannot find a school who offers this class in the evening here in Dallas. I thank you in advance for all of your suggestions. :)

I think this will be the class that I take because it has been very frustrating these past weeks to search for one. Have you taken this class?
Yes, I have. The professor is a pathologist (MD). He gives very comprehensive notes and is pretty clear about what he wants you to learn. It is not an easy class (I would be a little concerned if it was), but I got an A without much difficulty. :)

I took the Excelsior pathophysiology exam at the beginning of this month and got an A. I studied from the exam content guide for about a month and then took the test. That would be an option if you are willing to go the independent study route. I live in the Dallas area also.
Is it really difficult? I really enjoy anything related to science but like most people test scare me a little. I don't think I will fail I just really need to make an A....for my sake! What school are you attending? I am planning on enrolling in Texas A & M at Corpus online BSN program.
What a coincidence, I just started E-line this month. I'm in the BSN program. For the Excelsior Patho exam is used the content guide and studied every item. I used a Patho textbook and also a book called Pathophysiology Reviews and Rationales that I got from Barnes and nobles. When I took the test I got to about question 20 and I thought there is no way I am going to pass this exam. :chuckle You have to use deductive reasoning. There are some easy questions, some I really had to think about, and some asked about conditions I had never heard of. I made an A so I did something right. Just study all of the conditions on the content guide. It is all memorization of the conditions, signs and symptoms, and treatments.
Great, we need to keep in touch in case we need each other's help on anything else! :) So the Excelsior Patho test does transfer over there. I have been trying to get in contact with Rita to ask her that. Where are you going to do your clinicals? How do you like E-line so far? You can e-mail at [email protected] if you like.

I am taking this class this summer semester. Any words of wisdom? Also, they apparently do not give out the syllabus until the 1st day of class, if you have a reading schedule, can you let me know? Thanks!
