I live in a very rural area, and am finding it hard to find a PALS class before next summer. I have checked online certifications and am wondering what those on the board know about these certifications and/or how most schools feel about them.
The On-Line ACLS & PALS Recertification site has this posted:
Online ACLS Recertification is approved for CERP Category A credit by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN program number 0011622); CE credit by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA code number 25743) for a maximum of 7 hours; and, Category 1 Physicians Recognition award credit by the ACLS Certification Board Incorporated.
I was not able to find anything contradictory on the AANA site.
Thanks for your input.

If it is the same site I used, I can say that I have had no problems with the card being accepted. I plan to do my PALS next month and did my ACLS two months ago.
BTW the exam is very hard, and way more conprehensive than the exam you take in the typical class setting.
Interstingly enough, the two hospitals I am interested in working for do not require ACLS or PALS
